Sacristans are a special group of “behind the scenes” volunteers who prepare the sanctuary for each Mass. 

Duties include: Ensuring that all assigned liturgical ministers have arrived and enlisting substitutes if necessary; checking to ensure that the altar linens being used are the proper color for the liturgical season; helping the priest with garments worn for Mass; and verifying all items needed for Mass have been prepared and are in place. Necessary training will be provided and new Sacristans are always welcomed.
